In een groene stadswijk dicht bij het centrum vinden we DESK. Op het terrein dat lichtjes daalt richting de sloot staat een imposant rij wilgen waar we aansluiting bij zochten. De woning lijkt opgevat als een vrij gesloten houten box in de natuur op een betonnen plint. Cortenstaal kaders en details  zorgen voor een zekere scherpte en lichtheid. Gesloten is de box allerminst. Eenmaal binnen in de woning is alles wit, zonovergoten en direct in contact met de omliggende natuur door grote raampartijen. Zo dicht dat het voor de bewoners een waar natuur-observatorium is: vogels die nesten bouwen op ooghoogte, grazende paarden, de weide die overstroomt, dagelijkse spektakel!
